Under The Tree II

DISCLAIMER

Any resemblance to any person living or dead is purely co incidental. This is a work of fiction and would be appreciated to be taken the same.

They walked as if there was no tomorrow. Like someone would separate them the next second. For one maiden moment she would not let go off his hands as if scared to death by You-Know-Who. But this was them. They were way too cute and the bond they shared was way too faithful for the world to understand. Away from all they problems and grievances of life they walked in the dusk. With the beautiful chromatic sun reciting its final goodbyes they talked of life. Almost 16, what they knew about life was restricted to a group of friends, a bunch of subjects, few teachers and family. They were incognizant of the great trouble that awaited them on the q.t.

"So you have class kal?"
"Yup and nope."
"What!"
"I mean yaa I have class and no I don't have class."
"Go fuck yourself!"
"Arre I mean hum mil sakte hain kal."
"Kaise?" Almost mumbling.
"Kya?" A chuckle reverberated from his torso.
"Kaise?" Loud and clear.
"Arre! Our place. Library."

That word was enough to make Ananya grin from tooth to tooth with a light tint of blush. Library has always been exceptional to her when it came to Aarav. They would for hours sit there and talk about everything and nothing. Being the best of amigos they were they never needed a topic to chat. They could talk about even the most insane thing of the world.

"Perfect!" With a wide toothy grin.
"I love that smile."
"I love that grin."
"I adore that face."
"I enjoy those hairs." Ruffling his hairs.
"I love these walks."
"I love this intimacy."
"I want this to last forever."
"I wish this never ends."

And she hugged him firmly like he would just break if she won't handle him with love. And he tightened his grip on her shoulder. There were unfamiliar faces around them but they didn't care. All they knew was they have longed for this moment and now finally being there they are not gonna destroy it.

"So we will meet at 2 I'd be there." He said with the least amazement.
"Aww.. Its just tomorrow not a month that you sound that dull."
"I don't know sometimes I just feel so stupid to be associated with anyone. And then..." Cut in the mid.
"Shut. Just shut. We have had this discussion okay. And not a single part of me regrets anything of this okay. I don't regret us."
"But.." Again cut in the mid.
"See you know I don't care whatever they say okay." She patted his cheeks and kept her hand there. "I know what or whom I like or dislike and I love you Aarav so don't torture yourself with all this bull shit okay. Tu jaisa bhi hai mera hai and that's not changing ever."
"You rendered me speechless."
"I love you."
"Love you too."
"Why not "I love you too"?" Irritated.
"Style hai."
"Bohot bekaar hai."
"Achha. Now go bye."
"Bye. Take care."
"Yup."

Not a second passes by when she last saw him and her heart starts missing the count on its beats. He was way too special for her and damn she was serious about this. For the first time in her life she was confident. And that goes to the amusive bond of friendship they share. Time flew in its own grace and she relaxed on the seam. When her phone rings. She does not need to see the ID. She knew only one person to be stupid enough to call at this odd hour of night.

"So gayi thi?"
"Nahi."
"How are you?"
"Good. Kyun?"
"Kyun means aise hi."
"Kya khaaya khaane main?"
"Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha." Devilish.
"I know now just shut up."
"Tune kya khaaya?"
"He-he-he-he-he. Sabji roti."
"Koi nai! We would go out and have non veg soon."
"Yaa soon means agle saal naa.1 mahine bas sun hi rahi hoon main yeh."
"Arre nahi pakka we would. Meri exams end ho jaaye we would go out."
"Okay! Ssup?"
"Talking to love of my life. You?"
"Replying to the love of my life." Grinning widely.

Historical moments in the history of the world #1

There are many historical phases that this world has seen till date. From all I learnt I narrow my list down to these.

Let me start with my personal favourite.

Holocaust (Nazism)
We dont expect the death of a 6 million people to be at the cost of a epidemic. Nah! It was the planned for days event that took the horrific face of "The Final Solution" and became the reason of death of all the Jews in Nazi Germany. It all started when an Army Officer formed the association and began looking for a spot in The Reichstag. Person none other than Adolf Hitler. He who never spared a maiden Jew. Maybe at that time The Jews called him "You-Know-Who." And why not. The name was too atrocious to be taken in public. He who devised the plan of the "Final Solution" was a great leader indeed. Some of his quotes are recounted even today. People of Germany backed him entirely. They saw the man who could change the conditions. And surely he did. He made Germany the country that every German Aryan desired. There came the reason of the Holocaust. He remarkably justified his policy of discrimination by the scientific researches of Charles Darwin and Herbert Spencer. The whole world knew it the Nazi Ideology. And science played it part to accomplice the quote "Survival of the fittest." All of the Germany was testified and divided into Desirables & 'Undesirable'.Jews,  Russians, Gypsies and unfit Aryans found their way too the Poland Concentration Camps. Where they were shackled like herds and made to give away their clothes shoes and all the belongings they had. They slept naked for months only to be carried to the Gas Chamber. You don't want to witness what occurred in there. It was the worst prospect of death. The claw marks of
the dying Ratten as he says can even be seen today at Auschwitz Concentration Camp. You wouldn't wonder the faith their dead bodies met with. They were burned in oven like structures called "Crematorium". The film "The boy in the stripped pyjama" has a dialogue; "They are worse when they burn." They breathed a last to never anyone else let it see what they had been turned into. I believe the Jews died many deaths before the Gas Chamber as the dread of the Monster haunted them dawn and dusk. We would never witness the experience the had to go through the ruthless treatment they were met with and horrendous end they fated.

They have no right to live among us as citizens.

They have no right to live among us.

They have no right to live.

He, Adolf Hitler, would never rest in peace for the millions he set at unrest.

23rd Annual Day 2014-15

The Annual Day finally came to an end yesterday. But why aren't we happy? Because it was the most memorable one yet. Started on a confusing note of short listing songs and working for 10 hrs just to get the perfect combination of songs for the theme : "Ekta: The bond of unity." Was much of a task. But when we all are together nothing could go wrong. Well being together.. Ahaan!! Lots of fights and lots of misunderstandings on the songs the dress and every lil bit but you that's the fun of working together. Whatever happens we end together as friends. Every shout, every scolding, every laugh, every cry, every punishment, every threat of cancellation, every day of extra time, every dance move, every stunt, every prop, every stage practice, every treat, every denial, every approval, every fight, every lie and every truth all came to an end yesterday. We just could not stop ourselves from getting emotional but then we cheered for ourselves. I am already feeling nostalgic about this one. I made some friends I never would meet again, some teasing that never would be heard again, some spin the bottle's that never would be played again, some music that never would be played again, some dances that never would be practised again and some conversations that never would be spoken again. It all ends here.

20.12.14
     Lasts forever.

Pani Puri Cuisine

It indeed is a cuisine in itself. And is called by various proper nouns such as Pani Puri Pani Ke Patashe, Phuchka, Gup Chup,  Pani ke Bataashe, Pakodi, Gol GappA, Ghopcha. Whatever you call it once you see a stall you can't resist yourself. The origin of pani puri can be traced back to Magadha {Present South Bihar} however the name GolGappa suggests Varanasi. In Kolkata it {Puchka} is considered to be the best among also the other cuisines like golgappa.

The filling is made by lightly mashing boiled potatoes with black salt, salt, some spices, a generous portion of tamarind pulp (made by mashing ripe tamarind in tamarind water), chilli (powder/chopped/boiled & pasted). The tamarind water Tetul Jol is made by mixing tamarind and spices/ salt and making a light and tart liquid with water.

The taste of that pani puri when you place it in your mouth. It is an inevitable experience you would never get in any other thing. The competition to eat the most. The running away after having the last one so you don't need to pay and the shy ask for sukhi puri. The fun shared with friends and the joy of eating with parents. The alag sa taste in the rains and the stress buster in summers.

We, The people of India,
Thank God!
For his most beautiful and remarkable creation
Pani Puri!

I don't know if you can get jet lagged without changing time zones but I definitely was. I had a late night flight from Mumbai to Bangal...
